The Falcon Golf Club enters the big leagues!Le Partenaire 09-10-11 2003 Built in a hundred year old forest only 45 minutes from downtown Montreal and 20 minutes from the West Island, The Falcon is a public golf club with all the features of a top of the line private club. According to Phil Gribbon, Marketing and Communications Director, the golf industry has suffered a slowdown this year. He is proud to add that The Falcon isn't following this downward curve; on the contrary the club is flourishing. This success, Gribbon explains, is due to the high demand for top quality public golf clubs, and above all to The Falcon's V.I.P. Program. This innovative program is based on fully transferable pass booklets good for an entire year. If you follow this program you can use your passes at any time, and reserve your starting times up to 14 days in advance. One of the great advantages of this program in comparison to seasonal membership in private clubs is that your pass booklet is good for a whole year; if you haven't used all your passes by the end of the season, you can use them at the beginning of the next season! Another important point is that the passes are fully transferable at all times, so your company could take advantage of this program to offer passes to clients, or to reward employees. Is all of this due to the enchanting site and perfect location, or to the vision of its owner, Randall McCormick? Already, in only its second year, The Falcon Golf Club hosted three high scale tournaments in the 2003 season. Also, on last July 3, 4 and 5, the first running of the Falcon-Reebok cup was held with a purse of $30,000. This Stableford-type tournament pitted AGP professionals against professionals from outside Quebec.
On August 18 and 19 The Falcon hosted a section of the BMO Financial Groupe's female circuit that contributed to qualification for the female Canadian Omnium of 2004. This event attracted the best female golfers in Canada. The Falcon was also host to a tournament of the Canadian Association of Junior Golf on August 25 and 26: one of the ten major events held in Quebec and the Ottawa region. It attracted young golfers between the ages of 11 and 26. In addition to these three high scale tournaments, Mr. Gribbin added that The Falcon was the host of more than 86 different events this year. In spite of its young age, The Falcon Golf Club already has a highly enviable reputation.
